Cosette (#12355).
The collection is comprised of 13 color combinations. The repeat is 14”x16.5”. This pattern is an homage to my friend, Cosette Russell (Austin, TX) who passed away in 2017. Cosette was a lovely soul and the consummate master of fabric marbling technique. We met way back when our booths were near each other’s at the Houston International Quilt Festival. Her range of patterns and colors, from refined classics to the bold and wacky, blew me away. Cosette’s booth was always my first stop; I could never get enough. I must admit, whenever another customer picked up a fabric, I coveted it.

One of my most beloved memories from an accidental career teaching quilting around the country was visiting Cosette’s studio where she gave me access to her dye bath. I was not particularly good at it.    
I’ve used a lot of Cosette’s marbled stuff in my art quilts plus I commissioned yards and yards of essential tonal black in both silk and cotton. I’m excited to include both a Black and a Blue/Black colorway in this collection.

Impressions (#12356)
The collection is comprised of 8 color combinations.  The repeat is 16”

Referencing the visible dabs or strokes used by the Impressionists, this print is reminiscent of Sgraffito, a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting color, typically done in plaster or stucco on walls. This forgiving, versatile allover is nondirectional with a multitude of internal colors.  Cut patches randomly to create a shifting effect of light and color.
